Prefinished Tambour Starter and End Strips

Our prefinished tambour starter and end strips are an optional addition to enhance your tambour installation.  As the prefinished tambour is an engineered product with a plywood backer, these end strips are made from solid wood and hide the plywood edge for a clean looking installation.  The starter strip has the tongue while the end strip has the groove.  Finished with the same finish as the tambour for a seamless look.

Strips are 96″ long.  Widths vary based on the profile.

Strips are sold by the piece.

White oak, red oak, and walnut pieces are clear coated with two coats of conversion varnish.  Poplar is coated with two coats of white lacquer.

All items will be made to order.  Typical production times are 2-3 weeks, however, they are subject to change based on our current workload.

Description

Installation of our prefinished tambour wall paneling only requires construction adhesive on the backside and a 23 gauge pin nailer to hold the panels in place while the adhesive cures.

 

Custom lengths (up to 12′), profiles, and other species of wood are available.  Just give us a call for pricing and availability on those.

 

Shipping notes: Ships free with purchase of tambour wall paneling.  We’ll handle local deliveries (within 2 hours of our shop).  Longer distances will ship freight and will require someone there to receive the product, which will be palletized. Please note, shipped panels will be cut to 94.5″ long prior to palletizing to save on shipping costs.  The cost to ship 96″ panels is nearly 3 times what the cost to ship 94 1/2″ panels.  If you need a full 96, please let us know and we can make it happen.

Returns – As this product is custom made to order, all sales are final. We do not accept returns.
