How fast can Loxaco make custom moldings?
Most moldings are turned around in about one week. Large or highly complex profiles may need additional time, and we confirm that with you before the order is approved.

Do you really make short-run moldings?
Yes. We specialize in small and mid-size runs that most shops avoid. Order anywhere from one foot to one thousand feet.

Is there a minimum order?
No. There is no minimum footage requirement. A setup fee applies on every run, which covers tooling, machine setup, and quality checks.

How long do full-house molding packages take?
Full packages for custom homes usually require close to two weeks. The one-week turnaround applies to standard jobs and most short-run orders.

How long does quoting take?
Most quotes are completed in about 24 hours. Complex packages may take a little longer.

What molding profiles can you run?
Any standard profile or any custom drawing. Builders can request architraves, crowns, bases, casings, picture molds, panel molds, and more.

What wood species do you offer?
Poplar, white oak, red oak, ash, walnut, sapele, cypress, and other species upon request.

Can you create a custom profile from a sample?
Yes. We can match from a physical piece, a drawing, or a photograph with measurements.

Do you offer tambour wall panels?
Yes. We manufacture both rigid and flexible tambour in several species.

Can you match historic profiles?
Yes.  Just bring us a sample of the molding and we can replicate it.  

Do you sell to homeowners?
No. Loxaco is a trade-only millwork supplier serving builders, designers, cabinet shops, and related professionals.

What information do you need for a quote?
A profile reference, wood species, total linear footage, preferred length of pieces, and required turnaround date.

Do you charge for custom knife grinding?
Yes. Custom knives are quoted case-by-case.

Can I order one piece as a sample?
Yes. We will run a single piece with a standard setup fee.

Where is Loxaco located?
We manufacture moldings in Frostproof, Florida.

What is your service area?
We focus on professional clients within roughly one hundred miles of our Frostproof facility.

Do you offer delivery?
Yes. Delivery is available for approved builders and designers.

How do you deliver short run moldings?
For many short run jobs, we can cut the pieces to 94.5″, box them up, and ship them UPS for less than we can send a truck.  So even if you’re out of our typical 100 mile service area, we’d be happy to do a short run and mail it to you.  

What makes a molding order take longer?
Lead times increase when the profile is large or detailed, species availability is limited, multiple profiles are required, or knife grinding is needed.

How much molding can you produce in a day?
Production varies by profile and species. For longer runs of smaller profiles, we can produce over 20,000 lineal feet per day. For short runs with lots of changeovers, we can generally run 5-10 jobs in one day.  

Do you offer rush service if I need moldings fast?
Yes. We shoot for 1 week turnaround on most jobs. However, if you need it faster, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. We also offer a Priority Builder Program to put you at the front of the line every time.  

Do you require deposits?
Yes. Most custom orders require a deposit before production begins.

Are setup fees refundable?
No. Setup fees cover preparation, tooling, and moulder setup.

Do you store knives for future runs?
Yes. Custom knives are stored for fast repeat orders.  

Do I get charged a knife grinding fee for future orders of the same profile?
No.  The knife grinding fee covers making the knives and is a one time fee.  Any future orders of this profile do not incur grinding fees.

Can Loxaco match Big Box store profiles?
Yes. We can replicate most stock moldings and run them in better materials or custom species.

Do you make curved or radius moldings?
Yes, we can offer radius moldings.

Do you prime moldings?
No.  Loxaco produces raw wood moldings only. Builders typically handle priming during the finishing stage to match their specific paint system.
